01

Why the quality of the inventory list matters

A memory inventory review begins with identification. A clean list helps a reviewer understand what the lot contains, how consistent it is and which questions must be answered next. It can reduce clarification rounds and make sample planning more focused.

A complete list does not guarantee acceptance, import eligibility, a commercial offer or a particular value. It creates a better factual basis for deciding whether a project should move forward.

02

Confirm your authority before preparing the submission

Only submit materials that you own or are legally authorized to offer for sale or evaluation. If the inventory belongs to a company, the person submitting it should have appropriate company authority.

  • Do not submit customer-owned or consigned materials without written authority.
  • Do not submit pledged, seized, stolen, misappropriated or otherwise restricted inventory.
  • Identify any destruction, return-to-vendor or resale restriction before review.
  • Separate suspected waste or scrap for distinct project and regulatory review.
03

Minimum information for each line item

Use one row for each consistent part number, lot and declared condition. Separate items when the marking, package, test status or condition differs.

  • Product category: DRAM, NAND Flash, eMMC, UFS, SSD or memory module.
  • Brand or manufacturer shown on the component or label.
  • Exact part number, including suffixes and package information.
  • Quantity and unit of measure, such as pieces, trays, reels or modules.
  • Lot code and date code where visible.
  • Declared condition and known test status.
  • Current city and country of the material.
  • Notes about packaging, storage, handling or restrictions.
04

Describe condition using known facts

Use the category that best reflects the material’s known history: factory excess, obsolete inventory, engineering lot, production surplus, untested material or test reject. If the condition is mixed or unknown, say so directly.

Test rejects should include the test stage, failure category and available records where known. A reject designation does not automatically mean a component is recoverable, reusable or eligible for processing.

05

Add clear photos and useful supporting files

Provide representative photographs of each lot, not only one attractive item. Images should show top markings, trays or reels, labels, outer packaging and any visible damage. Avoid filters or heavy editing that hides the material condition.

Include an inventory spreadsheet, available test history and records that support ownership or disposal authority. Redact unrelated personal information and do not upload passwords, payment credentials or information you are not authorized to disclose.

06

Recommended spreadsheet columns

A useful header row is: Category | Brand | Part Number | Quantity | Unit | Package | Lot/Date Code | Condition | Test Status | Location | Notes | Photo Reference.

Keep units consistent, check totals, remove duplicate rows and use the photo reference column to connect each item with its images.

07

What happens after submission

The first result may be a request for clarification, more photographs, authority records or a representative sample. If the project remains suitable, the technical method, logistics and commercial terms are confirmed in writing.

Submission is not a purchase commitment and does not confirm that material can be imported, tested, processed, recovered or resold.

FAQ

Common questions

Can I submit photos without a spreadsheet?

Yes, for a preliminary conversation. A structured inventory list is usually needed before a detailed project assessment.

How should mixed lots be listed?

Separate different part numbers, lots, packages, test statuses and conditions into distinct lines whenever possible.

What if the condition or test status is unknown?

State that it is unknown. Accurate uncertainty is more useful than an unsupported estimate.

Which file formats are accepted?

The current form accepts XLS, XLSX, CSV, PDF, JPG, PNG and WEBP, subject to the displayed file limits.

Ready to start with the facts?
